Aphex Twin releases two new songs from Cheetah EP

Aphex Twin has released two new songs from his forthcoming Cheetah EP. Though the album isn’t slated for its Warp release until July 8, the producer took to Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show to premiere “CHEETAH7B.” The track is a downtempo groove that picks up speed with strange samples as it progresses.

Aphex also shared “2X202-TS5” via Lauren Laverne’s BBC Radio 6 show. That track is available for streaming here around the 1:56:00 mark.

“2X202-TS5” seems to be the bounciest of all three available tracks, with a solid song structure and a classic house sound.  Both releases seem consistent, though perhaps more subdued, than the EP’s schizophrenic first offering “CIRKLON3 [ Колхозная mix ]” whose video was notably directed by a 12 year old Irish boy named Ryan Wyer.
