“Get ready Stanny Crown season is approaching,” Danny Brown wrote on Instagram today.
Posting a photo of himself in the studio with Top Dawg Entertainment’s go-to engineer, Derek “Mixed By” Ali, Brown added: “Me and the bruh bruh mixedbyali putting the final touches on my next masterpiece.”
While it’s been a few years since the release of his last full-length Old in 2013, Brown has been busy of late. This update comes a week after the release of a crazy new verse from Danny alongside MF Doom on The Avalanches’ new single, “Frank Sinatra” (seen below) and in the middle of the rollout for his new concert documentary Danny Brown: Live at the Majestic.
No word yet on the release date of the project, but he did tweet in January that he’s “praying” with fans for a 2016 release.
