deadmau5 shows off new cube design – Dancing Astronaut

Deadmau5 recently confirmed his plans to reinstate his legendary cube stage. “I’m only really looking to spend 2 million-ish to get the cube show upgraded,” Zimmerman said in a Twitter post.

The Canadian producer has wasted little time in putting the plan into action, already hard at work on the new design. Zimmerman has shared his progress on Instagram, showing off a mock design of the ‘cubev2.’ Deadmau5 created the model with Maya and Unreal Engine, the same software behind videogames such as Gears of War, Mortal Kombat, and Fable.

Prototyping cubev2 in VR with Unreal. Possibly the coolest shit in the world.
