Google Beats Out Spotify To Bring Music Streaming To India

Google recently its plans to launch the Google Play music subscription service in India.

Google writes “Listen to music in a number different languages, from Hindi to English, Tamil to Malayalam or Kannada. Upload up to 50,000 your own songs, and access them from any device with your Google Account.”

Even though Google Play Music was introduced to Indian users last September, the music service was limited to just purchases and downloads.

With the news this launch, Google Play Music beats Spotify to bring subscription streaming to India. Apple Music has been available in India though since launching a couple years back. The Google Play Music service is available on the web, iOS, and Android and Indian users can sign up for a discounted subscription fer just 89 rupees or $1.40 per month.
