Man Caught Stealing Cell Phones at Coachella Is Now Detained By ICE

A Los Angeles man accused stealing cell phones from attendees the Coachella Music Festival has been detained by immigration ficials from ICE. This year, more than 8 people were arrested due to cell phone theft, .

The lawyer Marco Leon, 27 years old, was released from county jail on May 7th for $10,000 bail. Leon was scheduled for a felony settlement conference on Wednesday, but was not present because he’s in federal custody.

Leon allegedly has more than 100 stolen cell phones in his possession and is charged with one count receiving stolen property and seven counts misdemeanor grand theft.
