The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival returned to Manchester, Tennessee for the 15th time, kicking off the four-day festival on June 9. However, this year’s festivals is off to an inauspicious start as the local authorities have announced that over 100 individuals have been arrested or cited on the first day of the production.
The report from the Coffee Country Sheriff’s Office states that the overwhelming majority of incidents were either disorderly conduct or illegal possession of drugs — notably Molly and LSD. While breaking the century mark on Day 1 is far from ideal, Coffee Country Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lucky Knott was happy to report that there have been no medical emergencies reported at the notoriously hot festival so far.
