Outside the glitz and glamour, Rihanna is a philanthropist as well. The Bajan beauty was recently spotted in Malawi making a surprise visit at a secondary school to promote education through her Clara Lionel Foundation.
Last year, Rihanna was appointed the new Global Ambassador for the Global Partnership for Education. Through her Clara Lionel Foundation she is dedicated in making sure that 250 million children can get an education across 60 developing countries, particularly in the poorest areas the world.
In the photos below, Rihanna along with Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans and Global Partnership for Education’s board directors chair Julia Gillard visited a Malawian village. Wearing a white top grey pants and black boots, Rihanna appears to have interacted with the students and gave them a pep talk.
It’s always good to see artists give back in altruistic ways all over the world.
Meanwhile, on Saturday (Jan. 28), Rihanna went on Instagram to celebrate the one-year anniversary the release her Grammy-nominated album Anti. In the photos below, You can see the pop superstar recording her critically-acclaimed album in the studio. Since its release, Anti has been certified double platinum and boasts the chart-topping hit singles, “Work,” “Kiss It Better” and “Sex With Me.”
