Last weekend at Ultra Music Festival, there were at least a few people who trusted the wrong people to sell them festival tickets.
Victims told the police that they bought two wristbands for $1200 in cash from Duckett. They were then denied entry and told those wristbands were fraudulent. They went back to Duckett to get their money back, but he said he could only give them $400 back because he spent the rest. That’s when they went to alert the police and identified Duckett for them.
On Saturday, an undercover officer noticed Timothy Tedford and Carlton Tedford discussing prices of wristbands with a group of people. Carlton passed out the wristbands for the buyers to put them on. Timothy would escort them inside and then collect the wristbands back. After the wristbands were returned, the police stopped him. The scam was to sell wristbands, walk the victims into the event, collect the wristbands back, and repeat the process with others.
Timothy Tedford, Carlon Tedford, and Christopher Duckett are each facing felony charges after undercover officers said they were observed selling Ultra wristbands to patrons. During the arrests of Carlon and Timothy, a third man reached over the officers and tried to remove a fanny pack that was strapped to Carlon. The man was taken into custody.
Safe to say that none of these suspects were legally allowed to conduct any business in the City of Miami.
