In her new EP ‘Eye Contact’, Italian producer, multi-instrumentalist and live music innovator Giorgia Angiuli explores themes of spirituality, creativity, and meditation. The EP spans across five tracks ranging from techno to psytrance. At its heart is the title track—a long-awaited collaboration with UK-based producer Juliet Fox—from which the EP draws its name.
United by a shared vision of fostering unity and freedom through a blend of their unique styles, the pair crafted ‘Eye Contact’. The intent is to guide listeners on an immersive journey through rhythm, sound, and transcendence. Angiuli adopted a fluid, hybrid approach to the EP’s production unlike any of her previous projects. It allows the music to move organically and resonate both physically and emotionally.
Across ‘Break The Dawn’, ‘Nothing is Far’, ‘Nietzsche’, ‘A Good Addiction’, and now ‘Eye Contact’, each track builds on swift arpeggios, hypnotic synth stutters, and suspenseful vocals. This creates an entrancing and deeply meditative listening experience.
A strong advocate for women’s empowerment, Angiuli also launched a remix contest exclusively open to female artists in partnership with Change the Beat. It is a non-profit organization that supports underrepresented voices in electronic music.
