Celebrated UK duo Solardo has formally collaborated with the street artist, DJ, and producer Alec Monopoly on a new track, ‘Cold Fresh Air’. The groovy Tech House anthem just released this Friday, 31st October, via Ultra Records, marking a powerful collaboration between two influential creative forces.
The release of the single is just one of a handful of significant milestones for the artists. The release coincides with Alec Monopoly’s highly anticipated first-ever London DJ residency, running across four weeks at 77 Marylebone. Meanwhile, for Solardo, the single follows a prolific year of major activity, including performances across Ibiza’s most iconic venues and highly regarded sets at global festivals such as Tomorrowland and Creamfields.
‘Cold Fresh Air’
Groovy and melodic at the same time, ‘Cold Fresh Air’ is a lovely nod to the past with the Tech House power of today. Clever percussion programming will take you to different eras, from Disco to the Minimal world of the 2000s and 2010s. At the same time, the soulful vocals provided in the track tether the song even more to the Disco part of it all.
The beat is strong and will not only live up to but also lead a packed dancefloor, as it doesn’t shy away from any low end weight. It’s this contrast that makes the song so good: it’s equal parts a singalong-tinted, melodic-filled walk down memory lane, and a weapon for the msot packed clubs out there.
