The worlds of Trance and Techno have never been closer, and the latest evidence comes from the studio of two titans. Following their explosive Face2Face performance at A State of Trance Mexico in late 2025, Armin van Buuren and Lilly Palmer are officially dropping two massive new collaborations: ‘Ayi Giri‘ and ‘Dopamine Machine.‘
Premiered during their electric back-to-back set at ASOT Mexico City and teased throughout the 2025 festival season at AMF, these tracks represent the “Transformation” era of A State of Trance. The sound is harder, faster, and unapologetically engineered for peak-time warehouse vibes.
‘Dopamine Machine’ :This track is a masterclass in industrial style energy. Built around a relentless, driving kick drum and a hypnotic vocal loop “dopamine machine”, it captures Lilly Palmer’s signature style it is meant for a techno club.
‘Ayi Giri’: Taking a slightly more tribal and mystical approach it is a unique sound, ‘Ayi Giri’ leans into heavy percussion and dark, atmospheric layers with the the high energy BPM, it reminds you of a psy-trance sound similar to his tracks like ‘Great Spirit‘ with Vini Vici. It’s the perfect weapon for festival moments.

“Working with Lilly is always about pushing the tempo,” Armin shared in a recent interview. “She has this incredible ability to make a track feel dangerous and beautiful at the same time.”
Their first major connection came when Lilly Palmer remixed Armin’s iconic festival anthem, “Blah Blah Blah.” * Premiere: Armin first played it during his set at A State of Trance (ASOT) 2024 in Rotterdam.
