As the last rays of sunlight drenched the dynamic topography of Joshua Tree National Park, RÜFÜS DU SOL broke into the opening notes of “Valley of the Yuccas.” The trio performed alone. Until now, no one had the privilege of witnessing it.
On March 4, the Australian band revealed their “Live from Joshua Tree,” a 45-minute live concert film shot and recorded alone in the desert. The film takes the viewer through some of the band’s most recognizable tunes, presented in an immersive and awe-inspiring format. From “Eyes” to “Innerbloom” to the previously released footage of “Solace,” fans are sure to delight in the breathtaking composition of these beloved songs.
The live album will be available March 6 Rose Avenue Records and Mixmag. Pre-order it here.
We wanted to make something you can watch alone on your couch in the afternoon, or with a group of friends before you go out, something that also wouldn’t be out of place on a TV at someones house after the rave. Hopefully it lives in one of these worlds for you this weekend.
