Good Morning Mix: Chet Porter takes Foreign Family’s Intermission Broadcast Mix for an indie-electronic spin

At the end of March, ODESZA made a grand resurface with their first NO.SLEEP mix in three years and the 12th installment in the mix series. The Seattle duo’s mix simultaneously served as the first episode of Intermission Broadcast: a new weekly mix series of Foreign Family Collective artists. For episode two, the series is kicked off by Canadian favorite, Chet Porter, who stepped up to the plate to put together 46 minutes of dreamy, indie-electronic selects.

Elegantly blending both ends of the genre spectrum from The Naked and Famous, Passion Pit, and MGMT to Flume, Porter Robinson, and San Holo, Chet Porter succeeds in expertly maintaining the energy moving throughout without hitting the accelerator too hard. The bearded producer releases this mix just after he joined forces with Alison Wonderland for their synthy collaboration, “Bummed,” which finds its way in towards the end of the Intermission Broadcast Mix.
