In today’s tumultuous times, every bit of good news proves that there is still something to be grateful for. Case in point: Relentless Beats and iHeartRaves recently donated 10,000 surgical masks to the frontline medical workers at Gila River Health Care.
So on behalf of the music industry, the two companies came together to support healthcare workers working at the Native American medical campuses. The FDA-approved surgical masks gifted to Gila River Healthcare all feature triple layers of protection for their essential employees.
As the home to the Akimel O’otham (Pima) and Pee Posh (Maricopa) people, the Gila River Indian Community is the largest in the Phoenix area. The Gila River Health Care system they established provides healthcare services to all Native Americans from federally-recognized tribal communities.
“We have made great strides in our fight against COVID-19, we are committed to our efforts, and we will continue to move forward as we work to contain this disease,” said Dr. Anthony Santiago, the interim chief executive officer of Gila River Health Care. “Relentless Beats and iHeartRaves have been extraordinarily generous with their donation, and we thank them for their generosity and support. This donation will further assist our employees and, in particular, our frontline workers who continue to provide care for our patients.”
