Opening on a series of pummeling drums and dreamy, slicing riffs, “Desperate Invasion” captures poignant lyrics elevated through Coe’s searing vocal performance: “You always had the worst intention/ Oh God damn I’m so suspicious of you/ Making the move,” Coe sings on the track’s declarative opening lines. The band absolutely shreds through a soaring, anthemic chorus – one that’s sure to ring through heart strings and future mosh pits to come. Another potent swirl of emo, indie and punk from Rain on Fridays. Give it a spin below.
