Modern day chanteuse and singer-songwriter Raquel Kiaraa is releasing a new single titled “We Know,” a few weeks after having unveiled her mesmerize song “Release Me.”
This groovy pop ballad offers a nice contrast with her previous release, “Release Me,” displaying her versatility and unpredictable creativity in a new light.
Using the idea of ‘Barbie and Ken,’ Raquel Kiaraa takes us on a journey that sees her break the illusions of our modern societies' addiction to a tricky appearance of perfection. Conveying the message that just because something appears perfect doesn’t mean it truly is, “We Know” is a great reminder of some of the most important life changing lessons.
Raquel shares: “We all experience human experiences the same, the good, the bad and the ugly, and we all learn how to move through them the best way we can. Sometimes we survive and move through them, and other times we do not. With the age of social media and these perfect worlds we create and Barbie and Ken being much a part of those perfection stereotypes, we sometimes forget that we all relate on a human level to the reality that life has its challenges and hardships.”
Raquel Kiaraa is undoubtedly an inspiring artist and human being who began pursuing her musical passion late in life, saying: "At 32, I learned how to sing and play the piano so that I could transform my poetry into music, the same age as my muse/role model, Leonard Cohen, when he began making music."
