Above & Beyond Unveil ‘Anjunachill 01’: A New Era of Downtempo Bliss

Anjunachill, the chillout-focused imprint of the Anjuna family, has launched its first official compilation, Anjunachill 01 (Mixed by Above & Beyond). This milestone release showcases the very best of Anjuna’s softer, meditative sound. It blends timeless chillout classics with fresh, unreleased gems from emerging and established artists. Listen Here.

A Journey Through Anjuna’s Chillout Legacy

The Anjuna labels have long embraced downtempo music. The journey began in 2014 when Above & Beyond played a spontaneous sunset set at Burning Man’s Robot Heart stage. This moment of inspiration led to Flow State in 2019, a dedicated ambient and meditation album that became a defining moment for Anjuna’s chillout expansion.

Since then, the chillout branch has flourished. Reflections launched in 2022 as a standalone label dedicated to ambient and downtempo music. Now, Anjunachill 01 arrives as the next evolution. It celebrates this legacy while introducing a new wave of talent.

What to Expect in ‘Anjunachill 01’

Curated and mixed by Above & Beyond, Anjunachill 01 opens with their latest ambient track, “Shall We Begin,”. It was released in January 2025 to mark the relaunch of the label. The compilation features beloved Anjuna chillout staples from artists such as Jody Wisternoff & James Grant, Dusky, Leaving Laurel, and Croquet Club. It also includes standout names from Anjunachill’s recent catalog like Cephas Azariah and Mark Barrott.

Fans will also discover exclusive new music from Planet of Souls, PROFF, Redkat, and Ad Harmonium. This ensures that Anjunachill 01 is both a nostalgic journey and a glimpse into the future of Anjuna’s downtempo scene.

For those who appreciate the physical format, the release includes a limited-run six-track vinyl sampler. It features select highlights from the compilation.
