The production powerhouse trifecta known as Abraxis is quickly proving to be one of the year’s most watched acts. Comprised of Ophelia label head Seven Lions and psytrance duo Dimibo, the project revealed its debut track “Old Gods” before taking to the live stage for the first time ever, simultaneously closing out Dreamstate in November 2019. Now, Abraxis has returned with its sophomore release “Night Rider” on Ophelia.
“Night Rider” finds Abraxis colliding with dubstep duo Crystal Skies in a multi-dimensional stylistic take on psytrance. Fusing midtempo, psytrance, and melodic dubstep into a gargantuan track, the collaboration summons ritualistic energy in accordance with dark rhythms as guitar riffs, choirs, and rolling beats weave in and out. In a dynamic output of three drop variations, the genre-bending track traverses through a relentless pursuit of intensity that pervades its entirety.
Seven Lions’s flagship Chronicles event will return for its third iteration at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington on July 11. Purchase tickets here.
