Esports and Techno will collide as audiovisual artist and DJ Anyma will perform at the 15th Anniversary of the League of Legends Esports competition. The championship will take place in China, spanning Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu, from October 14 to November 9. The Riot Games PC game also announced an upgraded Summoner’s Cup provided by Tiffany & Co.
15 Years of League of Legends
The championship has grown from small studios to full arenas and stadiums, celebrating the best Eathletes in the game. For the opening ceremony, Anyma will perform at the opening ceremony for the World finals. Furthermore, Chinese pop star G.E.M. will sing this year’s championship theme song. Alongside these two stars, TEYA and Chrissy Constanza will complete the lineup. The entire performance will express storytelling, music, and outstanding visual effects to perfectly represent the trajectory of game and its tournament.
Nonetheless, LoL has some history of collaborating with EDM artists, as seen in the 2016 album Warsongs. The LP counted on collaborations with artists such as Jauz, Marshmello, Vicetone, Arty, MitiS, and James Egbert. Moreover, EDM icon Zedd produced the theme song ‘Ignite’ for the World Championship in the same year. Lastly, the World’s Music Video returns, with appearances from the world’s best players, best plays, and most memorable moments throughout the years.
Anyma
The multidisciplinary artist, also known as Matteo Milleri, has worked overtime since the End of Genesys. Besides his sophomore album release, he just concluded his Ibiza Residency Quantum at UNVRS. Moreover, he has two major Quantum shows next month at the Pyramids of Giza and Dubai. Finally, Coachella just announced his return with the debut of his new augmented show ÆDEN next April.
