In a disappointing turn of events for electronic music fans, the highly anticipated debut of Anyma's immersive project, ÆDEN, was canceled at Coachella this past Friday. Friday was forecasted for strong winds that posed a significant safety risk for all attendees at the festival grounds. With wind gusts reportedly reaching 35 mph, the massive LED structures and intricate production elements required for the debut of ÆDEN were deemed a physical hazard. The production, which was scheduled to be built out following Sabrina Carpenter's performance, required crew members to work at heights on poles with heavy equipment—a task that became untenable under the high-wind conditions.
Safety as the Priority
Following Sabrina Carpenter's set, a message was displayed on the screens to inform the crowd of the cancellation. The official statement from the production team was clear: "Due to strong wind conditions affecting Anyma's stage build, he is unable to perform tonight. Coachella and Anyma have made this decision together with your safety as the priority."
Anyma himself addressed the situation shortly after, expressing his regret to the fans who had traveled to witness the spectacle. "I’m sorry everyone," he shared. "We’ve done everything in our control to build the show I’ve worked an entire year on. Safety always comes first and we’re working on a solution now."

With an upcoming world tour for ÆDEN, Coachella represents the only major festival appearance for Anyma this season and the exclusive US show for this specific tour iteration. As of now, it remains unclear whether the set will be rescheduled for later in the weekend or if fans will have to wait until Weekend 2 to experience the debut.
