The Trance legend broke two records recently, and the world will have the chance to see it very soon.
During these past years, DJ sets in remote locations have skyrocketed in popularity. We’ve seen sets on balconies, in national parks, inside manmade monuments, and from a height. None, though, like what we’re about to witness.
Armin van Buuren, the legend himself, recently collaborated with UNTOLD, one of the leading festivals of the moment, to provide a jaw-dropping, record-breaking set from the tallest building in the entire world, Burj Khalifa, in Dubai.
UNTOLD, Armin, and the set
UNTOLD festival is landing in Dubai next year for its Middle East debut in February. But long before that, it already stood out: together with van Buuren, they recorded an awesome DJ set on the 149th floor of the Burj Khalifa. The production was top-notch, with a total of 18 cameras recording inside and outside of the building while the magic of the music unfolded.
The event itself was not only otherworldly because of the place and the mere production that went into it, but also because it broke not one, but two world records: the highest performance atop the tallest building on the planet, and the largest LED screen employed for a show.
A cinematic 40-minute-long presentation, the set will be available as a premiere tomorrow, at 5 pm CET time. Be sure to catch it on Armin van Buuren’s official YouTube channel. Be sure to set your reminder, plus an alarm. You won’t want to miss this one!
