Axwell Λ Ingrosso have released a captivating music video for their hit RØMANS collaboration titled “Dancing Alone.” The beginning of the video depicts concrete statues of people before fading into blackness during the note break, where the line, “This video is not for this song,” lingers against the black backdrop. It continues to pan in on these statues in different environments, with new rules appearing on screen. The second is “no cameras at raves.” A close up of a woman swaying to the beat becomes the vocal point of the video, which switches in and out of different shots always coming back to the woman.
During the drop, the video features different moments from raves of the past. There are many cuts of women ‘dancing alone,’ and the central woman from the beginning as well as statues make reoccurring appearances throughout the duration of the video. The video then mysteriously ends with shots going off, and men running in a race. The footage is in black and white, and viewers watch one man outpace the rest before the video’s abrupt ending.
