Beyond Wonderland Midwest 2027: New Venue, Three Days, and Camping

Insomniac is significantly expanding its flagship Midwest festival experience. Beyond Wonderland Chicago will officially rebrand as Beyond Wonderland Midwest starting in 2027, marking a major shift in both scale and scope. The festival is set to relocate from its previous home at Northerly Island to the expansive Chicagoland Speedway for an immersive three-day run scheduled for June 11–13, 2027.

This transition represents a strategic evolution for the event. After establishing itself as a premier two-day destination, the festival is moving to a three-day format, allowing for a more comprehensive experience. Attendees can expect enhanced stage production, larger-scale art installations, extended operating hours, and a more spacious festival footprint. Notably, the Chicagoland Speedway holds historical significance for the Insomniac brand, having previously served as the host venue for EDC Chicago in 2013.

Introducing On-Site Camping

A major highlight of the 2027 expansion is the introduction of on-site camping for the first time in the festival's history. This addition will provide four nights of accommodations, allowing fans to fully immerse themselves in the event. The camping options will include both car and RV setups, complemented by exclusive community programming that extends beyond the main stage performances.

Tickets for the inaugural three-day experience go on sale Friday, June 19 at 12:00pm CT / 10:00am PT. Available packages will include three-day GA, GA+, and VIP options, alongside various camping tiers and a Thursday pre-party pass. Please note that VIP access, which features expedited entry, exclusive viewing areas, and premium amenities, is restricted to attendees 21 and older.

This announcement follows the successful 2026 edition of Beyond Wonderland Chicago, which took place at the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. That event featured a star-studded lineup including ACRAZE, Wax Motif, Alan Walker, DJ Snake, Excision, Green Velvet, Layton Giordani, Tiësto, Zedd, and Zeds Dead, setting a high bar for the upcoming move to the speedway.
