After a decade of shaping New York’s nightlife, The Brooklyn Mirage returns on May 1 in a dramatically reimagined form. Inspired by operatic grandeur, the venue has been transformed to redefine live music, art, and immersive nightlife.
Designed by Avant Gardner’s team alongside Hard Feelings and Studio Greenbank, the new Mirage features a monumental heavy timber structure— measuring 197 feet by 164 feet and soaring 65 feet high, this is among the largest timber builds of its kind in the USA. Unlike conventional large-scale event structures, which often rely on steel or aluminum, this build sets a new benchmark for sustainability. The structure is fully pre-manufactured and CNC-cut with the latest addition technology showcasing how advanced prefabrication techniques can push the limits of what is possible in contemporary event space design.Prefabricated with advanced CNC-cut technology, it sets a new standard for event space innovation, blending music, technology, and hospitality in an unprecedented way.
Introducing Mirage Next Generation: A Fully Kinetic, Immersive Experience
The Brooklyn Mirage 4.0 feature the world’s first fully kinetic shutter system of this scale in a live music venue. When closed, it nods to the venue’s early days without LED screens; when open, it transforms into a hyper-realistic 270-degree virtual environment with 30K resolution and over 100 million pixels, surpassing visuals seen at major music festivals.
Paired with a custom-built L-Acoustics sound system featuring over 100 precision-calibrated speakers, Mirage 4.0 ensures an immersive audio-visual experience. With a 90-foot-wide stage and a 400,000-pound rigging capacity, it accommodates groundbreaking productions across all genres. Opera-style balconies enhance the dance experience, offering premium views and hospitality while maximizing dancefloor space. This next-generation venue delivers arena-level production, ensuring every guest feels like they’re in the front row.

“The Brooklyn Mirage has always been a place to dance, to lose oneself in moments of pure, electrifying energy. It’s a space where people, community, and culture converge to create unforgettable memories”
