Just as Pacha New York prepares to open, effectively replacing the Brooklyn Mirage, the local nightlife scene is hit with more significant news. Brooklyn Storehouse, the venue that successfully filled the void when the Brooklyn Mirage faced operational challenges last summer, has announced it will be closing its doors this fall.
The venue took to social media to confirm the announcement, clarifying that the project was always intended to be a temporary venture until the site's future development was finalized. The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) has now confirmed plans for the site, which will be repurposed to support climate infrastructure and clean energy production.
Brooklyn Storehouse will host its final events this fall, with a grand finale scheduled for Halloween. While the closure marks the end of a short but impactful chapter for the venue, New Yorkers will still have the remainder of the summer to enjoy programming at both Brooklyn Storehouse and the newly arriving Pacha New York.
