Brunch Electronik Madrid Canceled Halfway Through Due To Heatwave

Parts of Europe have been going through a tough heatwave for the last days, which has led to serious issues. The world of music wasn’t immune either, as Spain can state. Brunch Electronik Madrid, a popular music event, had to cancel its Sunday, June 29th show in the Spanish capital. The event started as planned at 4 PM, but organizers soon had to make the call to shut it down.

The main reason for the cancellation was severe weather. The Spanish weather agency, AEMET, issued a “red alert” for the entire Madrid area. This means they saw a serious and immediate danger to public safety due to extreme weather conditions. Because of this high-level warning, local authorities officially told the event organizers that Juan Carlos I Park, where the event was held, would have to close at 9 PM. This order meant the music festival had to stop right away.

Through an official statement issued on their social media channels, the team at Brunch Electronik shared their apologies for the sudden end to the event. They stressed that everyone’s safety was their top concern in these weather conditions. They also asked people who were planning to go to the park not to head there, to avoid traffic issues or crowd problems.
