From the moment we stepped onto The Garden Resort in Tisno, it felt like walking into a living postcard. The Adriatic shimmered in shades of sapphire and turquoise, lapping gently against the private beach. Olive groves swayed in the warm breeze, releasing that faint, peppery scent only Mediterranean trees can give. The golden light of late afternoon wrapped itself around every smiling face, every sparkling drink, every beat drifting from the stages.
This yearâs edition sprawled across three distinctive spaces: the sun-drenched Beach Stage, the dappled intimacy of the Olive Grove, and the electric expanse of the Main Stage. Each had its magic, like chapters in a book you didnât want to finish.
We could already feel that Defected Croatia is not only about creating a music event, but itâs also about building a community in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Days Defined by Sound & Scenery

The Beach Stage was where time melted away. Imagine wading into crystal-clear water while basslines ripple through the air, or dancing in the water as the horizon turns pastel during golden hour. Sunbathers and dancers blended seamlessly, no rush, no rules, just a shared sense of bliss. The décor, beautiful trees, colorful stage, and soft lighting were minimal yet perfectly tuned to the moment. For many, it became a daily ritual: swim, dance, sip, repeat.
Tucked just a short stroll away, the Olive Grove was a sanctuary. Filtered sunlight spilled through the leaves, dappling the crowd in shifting gold and green. Here, daytime raving took on a soulful, almost meditative feel. It was the place for spontaneous smiles with strangers, deep conversations between tracks, and unplanned dances that felt like tiny, perfect secrets.
When the sun dipped behind the hills, the Main Stage came alive in an explosion of light and energy. Towering visuals, impeccable sound, and a crowd buzzing with anticipation made it the beating heart of The Garden at night. Surrounded by food stalls and bars, it was where the worldâs top house DJs delivered their most powerful sets, often to thousands moving as one under the stars.

Beats That Carried Us
The music was as varied and vibrant as the setting. We still feel the adrenaline from Girls Donât Sync tearing up the Olive Grove with their UK garage punch, sending shockwaves of pure joy through the crowd.
At the Main stage, Michael Gray and Sam Divine spun sets that felt like love letters to house music, timeless anthems, irresistible grooves, and hands-in-the-air moments that will replay in our minds for years. Mousse T. brought his trademark disco sparkle at the Beach stage, coaxing sing-alongs that spread like wildfire through the crowd. And then there was Ferreck Dawn at the Beach Stage, sending heater after another and timeless house classics, a moment where nature itself seemed to join the party.

Beyond these, the lineup read like a whoâs who of house culture: Todd Edwards, Carl Craig, Kerri Chandler, Eliza Rose, Oden & Fatzo, SG Lewis, Glitterbox favorites, and many more huge names, all leaving their unique stamp. Add to that the famed boat parties slicing through the Adriatic, hidden pop-ups in unexpected corners, and daily wellness sessions to reset mind and body, it was a feast for all senses.

Defected Croatia has always been more than a festival, itâs a reunion of old friends and the making of new ones. The crowd was a vibrant tapestry: long-time house heads, fresh-faced first-timers, solo travelers, and entire friendship groups who planned their summers around this week in Tisno.
The atmosphere was open, warm, and entirely free of pretension. People shared sunscreen, swapped stories, and danced together until the sun came up. It was the essence of house music: inclusive, joyful, and unifying. As Eva, whoâs been attending the last 7 editions, puts it:
âItâs not just the DJs, or the stages, or the location, itâs the people who come here year after year. They bring the soul to Defected Croatia.â
