In this version of the simulation, Diplo has a country project that happens to be faring quite well under his given name, Thomas Wesley. He already has a double-platinum single, a collaboration with the Jonas Brothers, and a performance at Stagecoach, the largest country festival in the US, under his oversized belt buckle. Now, there’s an album underway.
Diplo took to Instagram to express gratitude for “Heartless'” charting success, letting fans know another Thomas Wesley single would be underway soon, followed thereafter by a full length album. Though there’s no public release date as of now, there’s a high likelihood of Diplo’s debut country album arriving sometime this summer. In the meantime, the Mad Decent head has been keeping himself occupied with nightly livestreams during the nationwide quarantines. Theres no denying the success of Diplo’s country music venture so far, albeit its completely unexpected nature. With a full length album underway, expect Thomas Wesley to be more than just a phase.
