• Funky base with a tech house twist
• Vocal loop drills right into your head
• 50-50 collab that actually works
I’m very very happy about “The Devil Works Hard” for two main reasons. First, it puts Tseba in the spotlight. This guy has a signature funky house style that really deserves more attention, and this track is a great chance for him to hit the masses. Second, Don Diablo’s massive touch blends perfectly with Tseba’s sound. I said it before: Tseba’s style is pretty unique, and here it meets Don’s bass and lead work in a way that feels like a true 50/50. Crazy good.
So what’s special about this funky collab? The vocal loop is simple but totally drills into your ears. The base groove jumps between nostalgic funk and a futuristic Tech House vibe, full of wobbly basslines and scratchy fills. Everything feels new, then old, then new again—and it moves so fast you just get swept away.
Honestly, I’m still surprised by how fast Don Diablo releases music. Sometimes the tracks feel lazy, like I said in the past. But when he really locks in, like on “Monster,” you remember exactly why he’s one of the best in the world. The flexibility in his style is just wild.
“The Devil Works Hard” is a banger.
