Drumcode Unveils DC4 Vol.2 Featuring Mind Against’s Explosive Label Debut

Techno fans, clear your weekend playlists: Drumcode just dropped the second volume of its new DC4 compilation series, and it’s stacked with fresh fire from both familiar faces and first-time contributors, including a headline-making label debut from Italian heavyweights Mind Against.

Launched as a modern counterpart to Drumcode’s iconic A-Sides series, the DC4 project gives founder Adam Beyer a platform to spotlight standout one-off tracks that don’t quite fit the mold of full EPs, but are too good not to release.

The Lineup: Newcomers Meet Core Talent

Kicking off the four-track package is ‘Crystal Skyby Heerhorst & PETER PAHN, a follow-up to their 2023 smash ‘Dark Sky’ (with Teenage Mutants) that topped Beatport and turned heads across global dancefloors. The new cut leans into the same celestial techno DNA — dreamy melodies, chanting vocal layers, and high-impact drive, ready for peak-time sets.

Next up: the highly anticipated Drumcode debut from Mind Against, who team up with Tharat on ‘Cloud a twisted, mind-bending track that plays with stuttered distortion and a rolling, hypnotic groove. It’s a standout release not just for this volume, but for the label’s entire 2025 output so far.

Rising German producer Kos:mo enters the fold with ‘Samsara, a gritty, acid-laced techno roller with cinematic flair, a track that could just as easily score a thriller as it could shake up Berghain’s main room.

Closing things out, Turkish duo OZBEK & Zafer Atabey make their Drumcode debut with ‘My Culture, a fusion of techno, house, and electro. It’s all attitude and low-end swagger, with a commanding rap vocal threading it together, gritty and memorable in all the right ways.

Drumcode Stays Ahead of the Curve

DC4 Vol.2 proves that Drumcode is still evolving, not just relying on its legacy roster but actively tapping into new talent and sounds. With global artists pushing boundaries from Berlin to Istanbul, this release reflects the increasingly diverse shape of modern techno.

For longtime Drumcode fans, there’s enough familiar weight here to feel right at home. But it’s the left-field twists, especially from Mind Against, that hint at where the label might be headed next.
