Elephante & TWLGHT Deliver a Heartfelt Anthem ‘Better Than Me’

Elephante is no stranger to creating hits that blur the lines between pop, rock, and electronic music, and he does that again with his latest release with TWLGHT titled ‘Better Than Me‘ out now on Hidden Horizon.

“Better Than Me’ opens with a melodic vocal line from Elephante that builds anticipation and a delicate piano melody that draws the listener in from the beginning. The production is clean and crisp, with every layer serving a purpose. The bassline is driving, the percussion is punchy, and the melodic synth work is pure bliss. The overall track feels organic and spacious, allowing Elephante’s heartfelt lyrics to take center stage, up until the euphoric drop. The album art of track is a real photo taken of a passionfruit flower from Elephante’s backyard which adds to the organic feel of the track.

Elephante shares: “I wrote ‘Better Than Me’ about the feeling of seeing someone you loved move on. you know in hindsight that you weren’t a perfect match, and there were things you could have done better. but ultimately they needed something you couldn’t give – “i was a rock when you needed a hand.”

He goes on to say “This feeling is complicated. on the one hand you want the best for this person, and you’re glad that someone is giving them what they need. on the other, there’s a deep sadness that it isn’t you. it’s not all good or bad, it’s just hard you know?”
