Ghostly Good Vibes: A dreamy dive into “Now That I’m With You” by SPIRIT LINK & Hylia

• Playful meets melodic in this dubstep collaboration
• Dual vocals create an ethereal atmosphere
• More mature feeling

SPIRIT LINK, a Dubstep/Future Bass artist I’ve been following for a while, continues to impress with his dreamy, happy, and joyful style. Known for his videogame-inspired 8-bit sounds and complex melodic switches, SPIRIT LINK has stunned me with drops like those in “With You” and “Worst Night Ever” featuring Dubstep star Slushii.

Speaking of Slushii, his influence on SPIRIT LINK is evident, both in style and their avatar choices. SPIRIT LINK’s ghost avatar shares that playful essence with Slushii’s colorful monster smoothie character.

It’s no surprise that today’s collaboration between SPIRIT LINK and Hylia, “Now That I’m With You,” is released on Slushii’s label SONICdream. This track leans more towards Melodic Dubstep, without the crazy melodies I’m used to hearing from SPIRIT LINK. However, I enjoyed it immensely, especially the vocal aspect. The lyrics are stunning, with two pairs of voices (SPIRIT LINK sings too), creating an ethereal atmosphere that makes “Now That I’m With You” stand out.

The breakdown and vocal components showcase a more mature creation from SPIRIT LINK. While it might not have the intense melodic switches of his earlier works, the emotional depth and refined production demonstrate his growth as an artist. The dual vocals add a new dimension to his sound, creating a rich sonic landscape that’s both familiar and fresh for fans.

This release hints at an exciting direction for SPIRIT LINK’s upcoming album. If “Now That I’m With You” is any indication, we can expect a collection of tracks that balance his signature playfulness with a more nuanced approach to composition and emotional expression. It’s a promising evolution that could expand his appeal while still satisfying long-time fans.

I’m eagerly anticipating the full album, coming in just a few weeks!
