To the thousands of people who were supposed to be preparing for Coachella around this time—we acknowledge your pain. 2020 seems to have gotten off on the wrong foot, with the global outbreak of COVID-19 (or coronavirus), forcing festivals to postpone their dates to later in the year or cancel their 2020 edition all together. Whether you’re able to attend Coachella’s new fall dates or still wallowing over the unprecedented postponement, Chris Lake‘s Yuma Tent set is here to get you through the day.
Chris Lake has been a staple name in electronic music throughout the decade, though re-emerged to exponential demand in 2018 with the birth of his Black Book Records label. Alongside the debut of his label, Lake fine-tuned his chunky house sound with the use of dark, tech-y basslines and catchy vocal lines, that house music hadn’t seen before. During his 2019 Yuma Tent set, he debuted a number of his unreleased cuts at the time, like his collaboration with Lee Foss, “Lies, Deception & Fantasy” and one of his most awaited releases yet, his remix of Josh Wink’s “How’s Your Evening So Far.”
