If it ain’t broke, why fix it? Lately that seems to be French house-music menace Habstrakt‘s philosophy as he continues his string of exceptional bass house track releases. Long ago Habstrakt figured out the ideal drums, progressions, and dastardly dirty synths for his signature hard-hitting house style. Now he’s capitalizing on his work through a steady stream of consistently scintillating dance floor-ready tunes.
With his most recent showing, Habstrakt opens with a soulful vocal sample before he lets loose drop’s pandemonium. Currently, “Free” is terrorizing dance floors along the Dangerous Waters tour with headliner Jauz, which carries on across North America through March. “Free” is released Gud Vibrations, the label fronted by none other than NGHTMRE and SLANDER.
