ÎLESONIQ delivered two packed days of electronic music. The lineup covered house, drum & bass, melodic house, and techno. Every major EDM genre had a presence. Évelyne shared that the festival has expanded into techno, house, dubstep, and drum & bass, earning strong credibility. I arrived early Saturday at Parc Jean-Drapeau. I explored the stages, art installations, vendor booths, and food trucks. Later in the afternoon, I headed to the Neon Stage. Genesi performed a vibrant mix of melodic house, techno, and underground sounds. The Italian DJ energized the crowd under the summer sun. Staff sprayed water to keep fans cool and enhance the experience. Genesi’s set built the perfect vibe for Joris Voorn. The Dutch legend drew massive cheers with tracks like ‘Transmission’ and selections from his latest album, Serotonin.

We headed to the Mirage stage to catch Bunt. The young German artist lit up the crowd with his unique blend of electronic folk. Fans went wild when he dropped ‘Trippin. By the end, he jumped off stage and ran through the audience. Next up was a back-to-back set from Tape B and Levity. They mixed old-school dubstep with modern bass and hip-hop. The energy stayed high. We wrapped up the night at the OASIS stage with John Summit. The Chicago native, once an accountant, has been on a roll this summer. His set was electric. He clearly enjoys performing for Canadian fans.

Day one wrapped up with plenty of after-party options. Fans who could party until sunrise headed to Stereo for Kaskade and friends. Others chose LP Giobbi at Newspeak, Steve Aoki at New City Gas, or Sullivan King at Le Studio. Montreal’s nightlife brought the energy and didn’t disappoint.

Day 2

Day two delivered another strong lineup. I kicked things off with Oliver Heldens at the OASIS stage. Then I rushed to Neon for Max Styler—easily one of my favorite sets of the weekend. His gritty, polished sound kept the crowd moving from start to finish. Later, I returned to OASIS for the evening. Mau P brought high-energy house with dark, dancefloor-ready tracks like ‘Drugs From Amsterdam’ and ‘Gimme That Bounce.’ The golden hour at Parc Jean-Drapeau made it all feel electric. Alesso followed with a mix of progressive house and melodic mashups. Illenium closed the night with a powerful, emotional set that marked ÎLESONIQ’s 10th anniversary in unforgettable style.

As the final beats echoed through Parc Jean-Drapeau, ÎLESONIQ’s 10th anniversary proved why it remains a cornerstone of Canada’s electronic music scene. With unforgettable sets, vibrant crowds, and a lineup that spanned genres and generations, the festival didn’t just celebrate a milestone—it set the tone for the future. If it’s a festival you should experience , on the fence for next year highly urge you to go. ÎLESONIQ 2026 will return to Parc Jean-Drapeau on Aug 8-9, stay tuned for details and ticket sales.
