Is it good… or “Up To No Good”? Acid Techno energy done right

• Old-school lead with a new-school punch
• Build-up that fires up any crowd
• Festival-ready and dangerously fun

Is it good… or up to no good?

D’Angello & Francis are back with another blast of their signature aggressive Techno sound. “Up To No Good” is pure acid-fueled madness, built to melt faces and light up any big stage. The guys are clearly leaning harder into that punchy rave sound lately, and this one fits the trend perfectly.

I’ll admit, the main lead didn’t win me over right away. It’s something I’ve heard before: honestly, it reminded me of Nicky Romero’s early 2010s sound. But that’s where the nostalgia hits. Once it locks in with that heavy, rolling bassline, everything clicks. The energy spikes, and the track suddenly feels unstoppable.

What really sold me, though, is the build-up. The duo didn’t simply throw in a generic riser or snare roll. There’s a real live feel to it: the vocal that hypes the crowd, the pounding drums, and a tension that grows naturally until the drop hits. You can tell this was built with the festival stage in mind.

The drop itself? Straight fire. Acid leads twisting all over, the bass hitting just right, and a groove that makes it impossible to stand still. Clean mixdown, loud kick, everything in balance.

“Up To No Good” isn’t reinventing the wheel, but it’s a gorgeous release that gets the job done and then some. Ravehouse Records picked up a gem here. Solid production, wild energy, and enough grit to keep the dancefloor alive well past midnight.
