Back in May, Kaskade launched the third edition of his Redux EP collection, which clocked in at a staggering 18 tracks. Somewhere alongside the best way, although, it looks like the progressive home pioneer deemed that 18 originals simply wasn’t sufficient, and opted to bulk Redux 003 up with just some extra takes. No complaints right here. Redux 003 (Deluxe) brings a complete of 5 new jams to the social gathering, with a handful of utterly contemporary Kaskade productions and a few indelible remixes of favorites from Redux previous.
Stood out among the many new licks is “Still Waiting,” the one observe of the lot that’s produced solely by Kaskade himself, and one that also bears the California-based producer’s heartfelt audible signature whereas straying a bit from the plush home sound that he’s most identified for. Soft pads create an immediate dream state for a bassline that percolates and ticks alongside a chopped chillstep beat, all of which merely set the stage for a traditional Kaskade vocal observe that’s as susceptible as it's stunning. The second model new unique on the discharge is the equally atmospheric and objectively extra aggressive “Lose Control,” a soulful peak-hour bomb produced in collaboration with BROHUG. Also included is the very not too long ago launched joint with TELYKast, “No One Else.”
The remixes on the up to date Redux 003 embrace LöKii’s turbo-bass rendition of “Ruckus,” that craftily preserves the electroclash vibes of the unique and Diplo’s remix of “More,” with a bassline so deep that it’s virtually guttural.
Redux 003 (Deluxe) is out now on Arkade Records.
