Four weeks away from the April 4 release of the four-track REDUX 004 EP, Kaskade unveils the first single “Love Like That”— an emotional deep house tune featuring vocalist Dani Poppitt.
Poppit’s smokey vocals pairs beautifully with the flawlessly designed bassline that fades in-and-out to bring attention to the emotive lyrics and soft piano. The minimalistic nature of “Love Like That” mirrors the stripped-down mood Kaskade aims to prescribe and dispense on REDUX 004.
The four-date REDUX 004 tour, which began Thursday evening in Miami, mirrors free-flowing genreless mood Kaskade aims to achieve on the EP—with each song being unique to the sound of each city on the tour.
While not as massive as the 18-track REDUX 003, this variety in sounds and moods is something the producer constantly strives for throughout the REDUX series. The April 4 EP is intended for release on Kaskade’s Arkade imprint.
In the midst of the sold-out tour, Kaskade will make headlining appearances at Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, Escapade 2020, and Ubbi Dubbi. In wake of the canceling of Ultra Music Festival, the producer is scheduled to perform during Miami Music Week with a stacked lineup including Loud Luxury, BROHUG, CID, Felix Cartel, and Arkade-artist LöKii.
