It’s Friday which means another day of new releases! Chicago-bred production duo known as Louis The Child drops their latest single, ‘Stay With Me,’ featuring the UK singer-songwriter Absolutely. The duo debuted the song during their recent Lollapalooza performance, where Absolutely joined them on stage to deliver a live vocal performance. ‘Stay With Me’ adds to a series of recent releases by Louis The Child, including ‘How High,’ ‘Walls’ featuring Claire Rosinkranz, and ‘Daybreak’ featuring Zachary Knowles. All of these releases are gunning the production duo for their next chapter in their prolific career as they prepare for their sophomore album.
Out via Interscope Records, ‘Stay With Me’ is a vocal pop centric track that makes you feel as if you’re drifting through the clouds on a summer day. The melodic synths, airy chords, and upbeat progression of the track combined with Absolutely’s angelic vocals make you want to keep the track on repeat.
The boys have two massive upcoming shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre this September 23rd and September 24th. While the first show is already sold-out, tickets for the September 24th show are on-sale now and can be purchased HERE.
Here’s what Louis The Child had to say about the track:
“We love this song, it’s so pretty and floaty ✨💙…Sometimes you hear a song and just know you want to sample it. That feeling came when we heard “Better Things” by Brockhampton last year. That song has this floaty feel to it, like you’re up in the clouds. We messed around with it a few different times, but it wasn’t until we were literally up in the clouds on a plane that we made the beat for this song. A few months later we had a session with M-Phazes and he asked if he could invite his friend Absolutely to come write with us. We played her the beat and a few hours later we had the finished song.”
