[Maverick Helicopters Review] Flying in Style Above Dreamstate SoCal

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to experience Maverick Helicopters’ Sky Trip experience which took me into the sky to enjoy the cityscape views of Long Beach and an aerial view of Dreamstate SoCal Festival.

Since I opted for the trip which embarked from the festival, I met with very friendly staff members at the Maverick Helicopter booth inside the festival who checked me in. After a short wait, another crew member golf carted me back to the main office where I was handed a safety flier. After reading it, it was time to walk out to the helicopter where I was given an opportunity to do a quick photo op.

As I entered the Maverick EcoStar (EC-130) which is built from the ground up for sightseeing, I was excited for the experience to unfold. As I sat inside, I noticed that the EcoStar is equipped with front-facing stadium-style seating. This, combined with full wraparound windows, guarantees that every seat is the best in the house. The pilot briefly gave out further instructions and it was finally time for takeoff. As the helicopter ascended, the city lights of Long Beach twinkled below, giving way to the expansive darkness of the night sky. The anticipation grew as the Queen Mary came into view, its majestic silhouette illuminated by the festival’s vibrant lights. The pilot would make a couple circles around so that everyone could take in the views and take as many pictures and videos as they wanted. Something I appreciated about the tour was that the pilot offered brief history explanations of everything that we were seeing.

View of the Festival

The bird’s-eye view of the Dreamstate grounds was nothing short of breathtaking. The sprawling stages, pulsating with music and energy, were a mesmerizing sight. The thousands of attendees, a sea of glowing lights, created a breathtaking spectacle. The helicopter circled the venue, offering a panoramic view of the festivities. The flight itself was smooth and comfortable, thanks to the skilled pilot and luxurious helicopter.

Overall, the Maverick Helicopter ride to Dreamstate SoCal was an unforgettable experience. It elevated the festival experience to new heights, offering a unique perspective and a VIP entrance. It’s an absolute must for any Dreamstate attendee seeking a truly extraordinary adventure.
