Maya Jane Coles, otherwise known as Nocturnal Sunshine, turned heads last year after the release of the album, “Full Circle”. Maya’s fans couldn’t get enough of her dark, bass-heavy sound. Luckily, Maya’s following won’t need to wait any longer for new music—Nocturnal Sunshine released “Gravity” remixes Friday, June 26, 2020.
Full Circle is the perfect fusion of Maya Jane Coles’ two favorite genres: techno and hip-hop. Several songs on the album feature artists within these categories that are openly queer, such as Thomas Knights, Peaches and Young M.A.
The original “Gravity” is song number two on Full Circle and contains RY X’s easily recognizable vocals. Maya’s fans describe the track as being perfect for a mellow atmosphere. However, each newly released remix was touched by different artists to ensure the tracks are all different sounds.
Decorated drummer and bass player, Calibre, remixed “Gravity” with strong, intense energy. Jacques Green chose to remix “Gravity” with a tech-house vibe (jam & groove). Emanuel Satie produced the last remix and it has a prominent underground vibe.
