Mura Masa Launches UK Music Training Program

Spreading Knowledge

During these troubled times, we’ve seen many artists step up to the plate and spread their word. From protesting for a better cause of using their platform on social media to help out awareness. It’s a true and honorable thing for them to do. Now, we have Mura Masa doing his part by offering a brand new, free 12-week weekend training program for women of color.

In a post on Twitter, he explains that he, his management team, and touring group are organizing it. They’ll be trained in live music roles like the front of the house, mixing, monitor engineering, and more. He says that there is a serious lack of women of color occupying these roles. He wants to change that. It’ll take place in London during the weekends. You can apply now using their website.

Love Above All

Mura Masa has personally committed to funding this whole project and is very excited to see what comes of it. He also sends out a message to all of his peers and friends within the music industry to do the same. To investigate and put in the effort to help out in their own ways to support this huge movement that has taken the world by storm. Mura wants them to put their high positions of power to good use. Now is not the time to be silent. Now is the time to act and speak up for what you believe in.

Overall, this is a huge step for musicians who are trying to spread peace and knowledge at the same time. Mura continues to amaze us all by not only creating beautiful art but also taking it further than that. Something that’s bigger than him. We’re all very excited to see how this turns out for him and the women that will be part-taking in this training program.
