New Audio Platform Demmo Promises To Rival (And Beat) SoundCloud

Electronic music producer Bound To Divide is very excited to fully present his latest endeavour to the world: Demmo, a new audio platform made by producers, and engineered for producers, aiming to solve common issues the standard industry go-tos — SoundCloud and Dropbox — currently have. The producer, who gained success with signings to labels such as Monstercat Silk and landing music placements in games like Rocket League, believes Demmo is essential because it addresses the real-world problems faced by producers.

Bound To Divide’s own journey, which involved moving from a career in IT to working on sample pack creation to such a level that A-class producers are using his bundles in their hits, gives weight to his arguments about production workflow. He explained that before developing Demmo, he constantly had to juggle several different applications for simple tasks such as file sharing, tracking song versions, and receiving notes, with little data to collect back.

The Problem with Existing Tools

The frustration of using generic software was the main reason for building Demmo. Bound To Divide highlighted that tools like SoundCloud and Dropbox were never designed for the detailed needs of a music producer. For instance, on platforms like SoundCloud, sending a single track to several record labels meant uploading the audio multiple times to generate separate private links. Furthermore, updating the audio required replacing the file in every single place.

He noted that existing platforms also offer zero insight into listener behaviour. With SoundCloud, users only receive basic figures like total plays, without knowing which parts of a track people skip or replay. Dropbox handles audio like any standard file, offering no helpful visual waveforms or simple tools for project management. This lack of features meant that producers waste hours trying to find the correct audio file, collect notes, and guess whether important people listened to the music.

Demmo’s Data-Driven Solutions

Demmo was created to solve these problems one by one. The platform centralizes the entire workflow with several key features. One of the most important additions is the use of heatmap analytics. This feature turns raw listener data into visual information, allowing producers to immediately see exactly where listeners drop off or which sections they loop to hear repeatedly. This replaces subjective guessing with clear, data-driven feedback.

The platform also improves the sharing process significantly through custom, trackable links. Producers can send separate, individual links to an A&R manager, a mix engineer, or friends. They can then check precisely who listened, how many times, and even see that person’s individual heatmap. If an audio file is replaced with a new version, all existing links remain active, saving considerable time by updating only a single source file.

Ultimately, Bound To Divide states that Demmo is built for any music creator—including producers, mix engineers, and bands—who require greater clarity, efficiency, and actionable information. The platform recently added a Kanban-style board, inspired by user feedback, to allow creators to track the status of every demo, from early idea to signed release. The goal is for Demmo to become the only software producers need to manage their work, from the very first idea through to the final release.
