Odd Mob and OMNOM have come back together as duo project, HYPERBEAM, to release an electrifying new track, ‘System.’ After not releasing under HYPERBEAM in over a year, this track has been highly anticipated after both artists have been rinsing it in their sets throughout 2025. ‘System’ is a rework of M.I.A’s GRAMMY-nominated classic, ‘Paper Planes,’ that has been flipped from a snappy pop anthem to a dark, bass heavy club weapon.
Although Odd Mob and OMNOM have had many successful collaborative releases (even outside their HYPERBEAM project), they’ve chosen to make music independently over the last year to differentiate their individual brands and grow their solo acts. Within that year, both artists have developed unique sound profiles and have found footing in new collaborations. Odd Mob dropped ‘Won’t Be Possible’ with Tiësto and remixed Calvin Harris’ smash summer hit, ‘Blessings,’ While OMNOM released the high-tempo bass house stomper, ‘Everyone’s Your Friend,’ with rising star Marco Strous.
‘System’ marks the return of HYPERBEAM, but it’s unclear to what extent. Is the duo gearing up for another EP? Will they grace us with more B2B sets? Only time will tell.
