1/ST is bringing electronic dance music(EDM) to Thoroughbred horse racing in 2025 with Black Coffee and Diplo. The 2025 Pegasus World Cup will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Gulfstream Park, Hallandale Beach, FL. The event will include luxury and lifestyle experiences, celebrity attendees, top-tier hospitality, wagering, and some of the best Thoroughbred racehorses and jockeys. 1/ST has partnered with David Grutman’s Groot Hospitality and Kygo‘s Palm Tree Crew for this event. The 3 main events will be:
- $3 million Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational (GI)
- $1 million Pegasus World Cup Championship Turf Invitational (GI)
- $500,000 Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf Invitational (GII)
The 2025 Pegasus Experience
In detail, the experiences involved will consist of a reimagined trackside experience at Gulfstream Park’s Carousel Club. They will offer VIP access, live entertainment, post-race performances, and more. Belinda Stronach, Chairman and CEO of 1/ST, emphasized the event as one of South Florida’s leading luxury and lifestyle events. Especially, with the collaboration with Groot Hospitality and Palm Tree Crew to bring unique experiences and performances. The Palm Tree Crew with LIV VIP experience will feature complimentary drinks, bites, and access to a new trackside viewing area. These guests will be able to enjoy Whispering Angel, the official rosé of the 2025 Pegasus World Cup. Also, the exclusive Flamingo Room will offer a premium dining experience.
To top things off, this year the horse races will feature EDM sets from multiple world-famous artists like Black Coffee, Diplo, and more. In the past, the Pegasus World Cup has had performances from artist such as Calvin Harris (2024); Joe Jonas, OneRepublic and Kygo (2023); Lil’ Kim, Ja Rule, Mase, El Debarge and DJ Cassidy (2022); Nelly and T-Pain (2020); Snoop Dogg and Mark Ronson (2019); Post Malone (2018); and Thomas Rhett (2017).
TV Broadcast
The 2025 Pegasus World Cup will be broadcast live on NBC/Peacock on Saturday, January 25, from 4:30 – 6:30 P.M. EST. Full-day coverage is available on FanDuel TV and in Spanish on HIPICA TV. The Pegasus World Cup will also be distributed globally in partnership with HBA Media. So, wherever you are, there is a way to listen to Black Coffee and Diplo’s sets.
