Premiere: ATTLAS – Courante

Following an intriguing teaser video a few weeks ago, Toronto producer ATTLAS has unleashed “Courante” to the world.

The mau5trap artist has had a banner 2018 thus far, releasing contemplative singles like “You (Close)” and, most recently, a remix of deadmau5 and Rob Swire‘s “Monophobia.”

He continues his reign with “Courante,” a five-and-a-half minute introspective piece that ebbs and flows in an otherworldly manner. ATTLAS ushers his listener into the song with a gradual build, bursting into a graceful melody as the crescendo peaks. A steady beat drives “Courante,” aided by dreamy synths and an almost haunting vocal that drifts in and out.

The artist again demonstrates that he thrives no matter what he’s producing — whether it’s a lighthearted take on Louis The Child‘s “Better Not” or an ethereal venture like this one.

“Courante” is out Aug. 7 mau5trap.
