Sky-High Vibes: Colorize Debut in Toronto a Massive Success

Last week, Colorize brought an electric energy to Toronto with a sold-out rooftop party at Aera, perched on the 39th floor of The Well. As the sun dipped behind the skyline and the CN Tower lit up the night, the label delivered six hours of seamless progressive and melodic house. From golden hour to the final track at 1 a.m., the event captured the spirit of summer in the city—vibe-heavy, expertly curated, and unforgettable. I really enjoyed attending the event and sharing my thoughts on the venue and the set.

The Venue

The Colorize rooftop party took place on the 39th floor of The Well, hosted by Plainsight Events—a Toronto-based production company. It offered stunning views of the CN Tower and Toronto skyline from golden hour through to 1 a.m. Guests enjoyed a curated selection of appetizers—slightly upscale in pricing—alongside beers, seltzers, and highball cocktails. Aera, the venue, has earned a reputation as a “rooftop refuge,” raising the standard for nightlife and event spaces in the city.

Artists For The Night on the Decks

The night kicked off with a powerful set from Toronto’s own Oliver Wickham. His performance layered rich melodies and intricate textures, setting a deep, emotional tone. He played tracks ‘Let’s Go Back’, ‘Machines’, and ‘Heart and Mind’, from his EP showcasing both his production skills and vocal work. By day, Oliver scores for film and TV—and that cinematic touch came through clearly in his set. Next up was Jack Willard, a familiar name to Colorize fans. As the sun dipped lower, his energy built with every track. He played selections from his new EP Patterns, and the crowd responded with growing excitement.

Mölly followed with a set that felt almost spiritual. Her music created a space of connection and calm, filling the rooftop with smiles and movement. As the sky turned to dusk, Braxton took over. His set was a journey—deep, melodic, and emotionally charged. Tracks like ‘Voices’, ‘Holding On’, and  ‘Spaces’ stood out, drawing the crowd into his world.

Finally, Estiva closed the night with a two-hour set that was nothing short of explosive. The set was darker, had moodier tones that were layered with tension and depth, pullin the crowd into a hypnotic groove making it feel both cinematic and immersive. Fresh off the release of his second album Embrace, he blended new tracks with fan favorites from Infinita. The crowd went wild for ‘Rhythm of the Night’ (Remix),‘KFIL’, ‘Carnal Emotion’, and ‘Via Infinita’. Honestly, the whole set was a highlight.
