‘Before The Storm’ is a masterfully crafted, richly layered melodic progressive house track that brilliantly highlighting the unique strengths of Sultan + Shepard and Rinzen. From the very beginning, the track encompasses listeners with its atmospheric textures and delicately woven percussion. Rinzen’s cinematic touch is immediately apparent through the expansive synth pads, soft reverb tails, and tension building ambient elements. The subtle introduction of a kick drum creates a serene yet anticipative mood in the first minute, vividly illustrating the calm before the storm.
As we move past the one minute mark, the track strategically layers rhythmic elements. Sultan + Shepard elevate the experience with their melodic finesse, presenting a lead synth arpeggio that is bright yet moody. At around two and a half minutes, we encounter the first drop.
