The king of Organic House is back at the leading label of the genre, in the world.
It’s always a good time when we have new stuff from Tim Green. I personally have a huge admiration for his sound, because it was his discography the one that mainly pushed me into the Organic House territory. Tracks like ‘Eyepads’, ‘Walking The World’, ‘Vacation to Life’ and ‘In Memoriam’ were played on repeat in my room during the Lockdown times.
So whenever I hear he’s got new music coming out, I get excited. Very excited, in fact. And his latest release, the Body Stars EP, is nothing short of amusing. Released in the mythical All Day I Dream — label of which he’s one of the essential roster —, three tracks make up Tim’s yearly contribution to the leading label in the genre.
The Body Stars EP
Drawing from years of personal and artistic development, the 26-minute-long EP Body Stars blends rhythmic intricacy with striking melodies. The three tracks showcase this evergreen Tim Green sound that is so iconic by now. Groovy, melodic, and at times moving, any of these tracks with do you wonders on a packed dayparty dancefloor, at a sunset gathering, or late at night with the right kind of likeminded people. I can testify, for I heard them all three in November of last year when he tore La Plata apart, in Argentina.
Body Stars is the embodiment of every one of my influences in music up to this point in my life today. The balance between the musicality, the energy and the emotion is what I’m most happy about on the release as a whole. It ticks all the boxes for me, and it’s why I have been playing these songs over and over for the last 2 years in my sets. They are amazing on the dancefloor …. plus simultaneously they deserve to be listened to in personal environments as well, as they have multiple intricate layers going on inside. I have a lot of amazing memories from these songs, songs which I now hope will help create memories for others as well moving forward.

‘Body Stars’
Following the footsteps of his 2023 ADID hit ‘The Night Is Blue’, the lead track from this three-tracker, the title track ‘Body Stars‘ is driven by a catchy female vocal, prominent and starring, looped every so often to add to the repetition aspect of it all. It’s an amazing track, with a focus on complex layered basslines and a lack of melodic instruments, for the vocal fills that space gracefully.
‘Minds’
The track my fragile mind remembered the least of the three. Would you believe me if I told you ‘Minds‘ is my favourite track of them all? It’s got a ton of melody, a ton of masterful percussion, and a hypnotic vocal loop to guide you through. But what I love most about it is the main lead, a series of short-tailed chords which absolutely dominate the space. This one is a track that will stand out in any set, because of the sheer size of the main lead, which feels borrowed from an early 2000s Trance hit. It’s just so, so huge. I love it, I can’t physically turn my volume knob down.
‘You Look Good’
One of those groovy Tim sides again. This one is quite a treat. It’s one of those pieces I tend to compare to “keeping the ball rolling”. ‘You Look Good‘ played during a set will not take away from the energy of the preceding track at all, and that’s quite an accomplishment. Get ready for eight minutes full of energy, French-like textures, a sincere female vocal, and don’t try to resist the urge to dance. You won’t succeed.
