Infectious electro house producer Tokyo Machine has taken the scene by storm, releasing exclusively with Canada-based Monstercat records until now, with his latest single, “Flames,” dropping courtesy of Proximity. Hiding his identity behind a slick mask, cool shades, and a full head of silver hair, the mysterious producer holds nothing back on this release.
“Flames” opens with the signature chiptune sound fans of Tokyo Machine have come to know and love, followed by an increasingly tense buildup. The drop gives way to fast house drums with a myriad of bright video game noises tacked over. The drop hits hard while retaining its melodic properties, making “Flames” one we’re sure to hear rinsed out frequently over the rest of 2020.
